REAL Women in Trucking believe that helping one another with RELIABLE information can help to keep people safe. Proper preparation and education helps to retain drivers throughout their training process and personal safety education during this critical time should not be for sale though our approach is task oriented with a small fee for students so that they show they are putting some “skin into the game”.

Student members: If you are in your first 6 months of entry-level commercial driver training you must complete the task reading and watching of content in the FAQ section of this website in it’s entirety. You must also sign up for text alerts and be responsible for checking in with us at least one time per month to report your progress and allow us to provide you guidance. To request a mentor complete all of these tasks first and then email realwomenintrucking@gmail.com with the subject line: “Requesting a Mentor“.

  • Why This Question? Pets who travel on trucks must always have current shot records. Vaccinations, especially rabies and bordatella (aka kennel cough), are a must. A rabies tag is to be on the collar/harness. A Health Certificate once a year is also required for all pets crossing state lines. Without these items, law enforcement officials can confiscate the pet. Easy access to pet records in case of a medical emergency or accident will help to place your pet in emergency care such as a safe boarding facility in the event that you cannot communicate to advise for the care of your pet. Your RWIT membership card carries an indicator that your member file has pet's vet information.
